Where to Find Government Owned and Seized Vehicles – Summary of the Sources

Here is a summary list of approved government websites to find those vehicles. There are a number of ways for the public to buy government vehicles online or offline. Be wary of sites out there that want to charge you for this kind of information.
Buy Online: Cars and Vehicles
- Cars from the Government’s General Services Administration Fleet – Purchase top quality, pre-owned U.S. government cars, trucks, and vans, online or at live auctions.
- Current Asset Sales from U.S. Marshals Service – Gateway to various contract service providers that auction current U.S. Marshals Service assets.
- Federal Surplus Vehicle Auctions – Browse surplus fleet vehicles from the Department of Justice and other federal agencies, for sale through GTB Auctions.
- GSA Auctions – View quality used cars and other vehicles, aircraft, and boats owned by federal agencies, for sale through the U.S. General Services Administration.
- State and Local Surplus Property Sales – Find state and local government surplus auctions.
- Surplus Property from the Department of Defense – Buy usable surplus government property located in the United States, from the Defense Reutilization and Marketing Service.
- U.S. Marshals Service-Forfeited Property at Online Auctions – Buy court-ordered, forfeited assets—cars, jewelry, artwork, sports equipment, and more—through online auctions at Bid4Assets.
