It’s a new year and gas prices are still at record lows, the labor market and economy are improving and it’s an election year. All of these are fueling optimism that 2016 will be a good year, including an estimated 18 million new car sales. Getting the year off to a good start are some very attractive deals for consumers shopping for new vehicles. Here are some of the best car lease deals January 2016.

Note that most of these January car lease deals are good through February 1, while those from Acura, Honda, Kia expire February 29th. Ford deals are good through April 4.

Coupes and Sedans

2016 Acura TLX – The four-cylinder 2016 Acura TLX is a sporty midsize sedan that’s the third best-selling vehicle for Acura, behind the MDX and RDX crossover SUVs. The TLX is available to lease for 36 months at $319 per month and $2,999 due at signing. Acura is also offering a $390 per month, 36-month lease on the TLX with $0 due at signing and $0 first month’s payment.

2016 Buick LaCrosseThe midsize 2016 Buick LaCrosse, in base preferred equipment group, comes with a 39-month lease at $299 per month, with $3,989 due at signing.

2016 Buick Regal – The sportier midsize 2016 Buick Regal, in Premium II preferred equipment group, is available to lease for 39 months at $259 per month, with $2,489 to be paid upon signing.

2016 Chevrolet MalibuThe midsize affordable 2016 Chevrolet Malibu has several regional lease deals available this month. These range from $179 per month for 24 months with $1,500 due at signing on Malibu Limited preferred equipment group in the Northeast to $199 per month for 39 months with $2,369 due at signing on Malibu preferred equipment group in the Southeast, Southwest, Northwest and West.

2016 Honda AccordThe midsize 2016 Honda Accord, the Japanese automaker’s best-selling vehicle, is available this month with 39-month leases on LX-S coupe and LX sedan models with continuously variable transmission (CVT) at $199 and $219, respectively, with $1,999 and $2,299, respectively, due on signing. Consumers can also lease the LX-S CVT coupe for $250 per month for 39 months with $0 due at signing and $0 first month’s payment or the LX CVT sedan for $270 per month on a 39-month lease, again with $0 paid on signing and no first month’s payment.

2016 Honda CivicThe compact 2016 Honda Civic LX with continuously various transmission (CVT) is available with a 39-month lease at $179 per month and with $1,999 due at signing. The Civic is Honda’s third best-selling vehicle, behind the first-place Accord and second-place CR-V.

2016 Mercedes-Benz C-ClassLuxury car buyers looking to get into a Mercedes-Benz should check out the attractive 36-month lease offers on the redesigned 2016 C-Class. These range from $399 per month with $4,553 due at signing on the 2016 C300 Sport sedan, $409 per month with $4,703 due at signing on the C300 4MATIC Sport sedan, to $559 per month with $5,153 due at signing on the C450 AMG sedan.

2016 Subaru LegacyThe 2016 Subaru Legacy 2.5i model has some attractive 36-month lease offers, depending on region. These range from $219/month with $1,869 due at signing (in the Southeast, Southwest and West), to $219/month with $1,889 due at signing (in the Northeast and Northwest). There’s also a $274/month, 36-month lease on Legacy 2.5i Limited with $0 due at signing in the West.

2016 Ford EscapeThe compact 2016 Ford Escape SUV is available to lease for 24 months as low as $169/month, with $3,463 due at signing (on Escape SE with all-wheel drive in the Northeast). In the Southeast and Southwest, Escape SE with front-wheel drive comes with a $219/month, 36-month lease with $2,739 due at signing. The Escape SE with four-wheel drive is available to lease for 36 months in the Northwest for $229/month with $3,149 paid upon signing.

This lease offer applies to CX-3 Sport with front-wheel drive and automatic transmission and is available in the Southeast, Gulf States, Midwest and West. In the Northeast, the same CX-3 Sport is $199/month to lease and the same $1,999 due at signing.

2016 Mazda CX-5The 2016 Mazda CX-5 crossover/SUV is available in many parts of the country with a 36-month lease at $225 per month, with $1,999 due at signing. This lease applies to CX-5 Sport with front-wheel drive and automatic transmission.

2016 Subaru ForesterFor a compact affordable SUV, family buyers may want to take a look at the 2016 Subaru Forester. It’s available this month with a 36-month lease as low as $207/month with $1,707 due at signing (on the 2.5i six-speed manual transmission model in the Southwest).
