February is one of the best months to go shopping for a certified pre-owned vehicle. All the dealerships are beginning to plan layout details, sales pitches, and price changes for their spring events (even though several of the northern dealerships are still cleaning two feet of snow off the cars), and they need to clear away space on the lots to make room for spring lease turn-ins, trade-ins on new models, and dealership demos which have reached their mileage limit. These are all examples of certified pre-owned vehicles that will be offered with some decent incentives to purchase in February.

Buying a used car is sort of like going to the Humane Society for a new pet. Some of them are a little older, they’ve had previous owners, and they’re well broken in; but there’s still lots of life and love left in them, to be given to just the right owner. For a look at what some of the best certified pre-owned deals and incentives are for February, just keep reading. Then take a run up to your favorite dealership and bring home your new pet!

General Motors

Right now GM is running their “No Worries Sales Event.” You can get financing as low as 1.9% on select GM certified vehicles. The following models are eligible for this offer as long as they have the GM Certified sticker:

You really can’t go wrong with any car on this list, except maybe for the now-defunct Pontiac G6. Collectors may want to get their hands on it, being the last Pontiac vehicle to be produced in the United States, but everyday drivers may need to see quite a price reduction to move this one.

Ford

Ford is also running a financing incentive in February. You could qualify for financing as low as 2.9% for up to 48 months on the following pre-owned vehicles:

This isn’t the full list of available Ford vehicles, but it’s the best available in their line of certified pre-owned (The full list can be found Here. The Fiesta, Flex, Mustang, and pickups will probably offer some of the best resale value, while the recently-deceased Sable could become a collector’s item if properly stored. The Mountaineer is the last of the few remaining hulk-size SUVs.

Mazda

Mazda is offering financing as low as 2.49% on a wide range of vehicles. Mazda’s certified pre-owned inventory comes with a 12-month/12,000-mile limited warranty with no deductible, and 7-year/100,000-mile protection on the powertrain. Some of the better vehicles available from Mazda over the past few years include:

  • 2006-2010 Mazda6
  • 2008-2010 Mazda5
  • 2009-2010 MX-5 Miata
  • 2008-2010 Mazda CX-9

There are several other models available. Those can be found on the Mazda Pre-Owned website Here.

Volkswagen

Sticking with German engineering, Volkswagen is also offering a low financing offer of 2.49% for loans up to 60 months. For this rate you may want to check out some of the higher-ranked certified pre-owned Volkswagens like:

Honda

Honda is also going low with an available 1.9% APR on loans up to 36 months. Being such a short loan, this isn’t one of the greatest deals on the list, and the selection is rather limited, but sometimes it’s hard to pass up Honda quality. The following certified pre-owned vehicles are eligible:

Hyundai

Hyundai’s quality has jumped in recent years, and they’re trying to get you to notice it by offering 2.49% on loans up to 36 months, and 3.49% for up to 48 months, for all certified pre-owned Hyundais. Some of the better models to check out are:
