Did your holiday deliveries seem a little jostled and traumatized when you received them this year? They would if they had been taken on a two-state joyride in the back of a stolen delivery truck.

A FedEx driver in Kansas City left her keys in her truck while pumping gas this week. She went inside the gas station to make a purchase and when she returned, the truck – filled with packages – was gone.

A police chase began and continued all the way to Kansas suburbs where the truck came to a halt after stop sticks flattened the tires. Oddly, it was noted that the man who allegedly stole the truck was a polite driver and used his blinker.

FedEx issued a statement thanking local law enforcement for locating and stopping the vehicle.

And the moral of this story … never leave your keys in your car (or delivery truck).
